“Jehovah
Jehovah-Shammah is one of nine special names of God found in the Old Testament. The others are:
Jehovah-Jireh—“ the Lord will see to it” (Gen. 22: 14);
Jehovah-Rophe—“ the Lord who heals” (Exod. 15: 26);
Jehovah-Nissi—“ the Lord our Banner” (Exod. 17: 15);
Jehovah-M’Kaddesh—“ the Lord who sanctifies” (Lev. 20: 8);
Jehovah-Shalom—“ the Lord our peace” (Judg. 6: 24);
Jehovah-Tsidkenu—“ the Lord our righteousness” (Jer. 23: 6);
Jehovah-Rohi—“ the Lord my shepherd” (Ps. 23: 1); and
Jehovah-Sebaoth—“ the Lord of hosts [armies]” (Ps. 46: 7).
The Lord is to us all that we need, no matter what that need may be.”
